Entries must be submitted as 300 dpi jpeg files on a CD.

$15 per entry, non-refundable entry fee.

JUROR: Jim Lowry
After graduating from the California University of Long Beach in 1968, Jim Lowry painted and drew for thirty years. It was in 1998 that he started experimenting with digital art, which eventually became digital photography. Since then Jim's focus has been photography.

In 2001 Jim was awarded Best of Show in the Humboldt Arts Council's Northwest Eye Regional Photography Competition & Exhibition. He has also received awards of excellence in the National Photo Awards in 2004 and 2005 as well as being named Photographer of the Year in 2004. In 2008 Jim received a 2nd place award in landscape in an international photography competition.

RULES FOR ENTRIES
All artwork must be images of water.
Each submission must be accompanied by a
completed registration label. Each label must
include the entrant's name, artwork title, date,
size in inches, weight (if a 3D piece), medium
and insurance or sale value. If requested,
proof of insurance value must be provided.

Entries must be submitted as 300 dpi
jpeg files on a CD. One image per entry for
2D works, 2 images for 3D works.
Please include SASE for return of CD.

Image files must be labeled with the artwork
title and year. Title must correspond with
information on accompanying registration label.

2D artwork must be framed and with a
securely attached hanging wire. Total size
including frame cannot exceed 3' x 2'.

3D work must weigh less than 125 lbs. and
cannot exceed 5' in any direction.

Entries will only be considered for
inclusion in the exhibition if submitted
according to instructions.

Copyright ownership of all entries remains
with the artist. The HAC retains the right to
reproduce the image for its own archival
records and/or to publicize and promote
the exhibition.


ACCEPTED ENTRIES POSTED
Works selected for inclusion in the exhibition will be notified by phone on Tuesday, June 23rd.
Results will also be posted at www.humboldtarts.org.

AWARDS
Best of Show $300, 1st Place $150, 2nd Place $100 and 3rd Place $50.

First Saturday Night Arts Alive!
Opening Reception, August 1st, 6 to 9 p.m.
Awards presented at 5:30

SPECIFICATIONS
Information on submitted registration label
cannot be changed once submitted. Artwork
size and price cannot be changed. Artwork
cannot be altered after submission of entry.

SHIPPING
If accepted into the exhibition, the artist is
responsible for all delivery/shipping expenses
to and from the exhibition. Extra shipping
insurance is highly recommended.
Complete shipping instructions will be available
after June 23.

SALES
Sales are encouraged. Artists receive 60% of the retail sale value.
The HAC receives a 40% commission. All artwork not for sale must be
marked "NFS" on the registration label.

LIABILITY
Exhibited works are insured while on site by the Humboldt Arts Council. If requested, proof
of insurance value must be provided. The HAC is not responsible for any artwork delivered or
shipped in damaged condition.
