  The Crested Hens

Crested Hens are crafty world musicians bringing out the full flavors and rich traditional melodies of Celtic music. They are known for their exhilarating tunes, rousing songs & original music. Eclectic musician Seabury Gould (guitar, bouzouki, flute & vocals) grew up learning folk songs with his sisters, and once he got that guitar in his hands, never looked back. With a 40-year exploration of Irish / Celtic songs & tunes, Seabury brings a range of instruments & songs to delight & inspire. After digging his roots into jazz, bluegrass & blues, Brae Lewis continues to generate a peak musical experience in each setting that he graces with his uniquely progressive & exciting banjo & mandolin playing. Liz Thompson is known for her dazzling and expressive playing of the Celtic cello. She is a dedicated player at local Irish sessions and has recorded with both Seabury Gould on his latest cd, and with Seabury & Brae on recent recordings. Together they offer an experience that rises above and fuses the hearts of their melodies with the hearts of their listeners. Crested Hens can be found playing at local sessions, various local venues including pubs & restaurants, house parties & festivals.
