On the third Sunday of every month from 3-5pm
Wine & Jazz is a monthly performance series highlighting some of the best jazz performers Humboldt County has to offer. After every performance, audience members are invited to bring their instrument and take part in a jam session with the band. Wine is available for sale, and tickets are included with regular museum admission: $5 for adults, $2 for students/seniors/military, and FREE for museum members, children under 18, and families with an EBT card.
Sunday, March 18th, 3-5pm
Join vocalist Laura Hennings and her trio of musical superstars for an afternoon of American Jazz Standards over a glass of wine. Laura has performed in Humboldt County for over 11 years, previously with The Topaz Trio and The Soulful Sidekicks. Adding American Jazz Standards and Blues to her repertoire, she brings her smooth, sultry voice reminiscent of Billie Holiday and Diana Krall back to the Morris Graves' monthly jazz program again this year.
Accompanied by a trio of great local musicians-Tim Randles on piano, Tim Classen on bass and Jonathan Claasen on drums- they will perform ballads and upbeat swing tunes from musicals, big band hits and top 40 favorites!
Sunday, April 22nd, 3-5pm
