Saturday 4/22: 2:00pm
Join artist Jimmie Nord for a discussion of his latest exhibition "Elevated Topography"! Jimmie Nord is a sculptor. His work is influenced by his background in forestry, natural resources, and art movements like German Constructivism, Bauhaus, and The Memphis Design Movement, along with a splash of Surrealism. His exhibition Elevated Topography is an unrealistic portrayal of how we might overcome rising sea levels. The concept of scaffolding and construction materials used is meant to illuminate the challenges we face moving forward and the necessity to think beyond our current solution methods.
Saturday 4/22: 8:00pm
Doors open at 7:30; tickets $10 at the door
Due to an illness in the band, we've had to postpone this show to Saturday, April 22nd! If you bought an advance ticket at Wildberries for the original show date, you can return to Wildberries for a refund or for a replacement ticket to the 4/22 show.
Los Angeles based husband and wife duo Paking Lights play home made, electronic pop psychedelia. Often jammed out, dubbed out and beat oriented, their live shows are an experience of "body music." They want you to feel it in your heart and bones, as well as your ears.
Beer and cider for sale for 21+. Tickets $10 at the door, or in advance at Wildberries & People's Records.
Funding for this amazing show is provided by the Western States Arts Federation, the California Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Yay!
