Hands on art projects and Art History lessons provided in your classroom! Offered Year-Round

HAC Art on the Road brings the museum's quality art education programs to your classroom. We deliver professional art educators, engaging presentations, artworks from our permanent collection, and art supplies to your school. We serve children of all ages, and provide hands-on art projects and art history lessons that can integrate with your current curriculum and meet Academic content standards for Visual Arts and Common Core standards. Subjects for presentations include individual artist, art periods, elements of art, art by region, and more!

HAC Art on the Road is also available to community centers, senior centers, and everywhere along the way. Serving children of all ages and providing creative activities to seniors in retirement communities, HAC Art on the Road offers enriching art experiences to everyone in our community.

Are you interested in an upcoming exhibition or pieces from our permanent collection? Our museum professionals tailor walking tours of the museum to your group's interests and needs. We have seven beautiful galleries to explore and provide engaging materials to interpret exhibitions. An optional hands-on art project is available at the end of your tour.

Exhibit in our Youth Gallery

Proposals accepted year round!

This space provides an amazing opportunity to showcase the pieces your students/youth have worked  hard on, increase youth confidence, as well as experience in designing and showcasing work in a professional atmosphere. Exhibitions presented in the MGMA Youth Gallery feature works of art in all media from Humboldt County youth and exhibitions organized to engage young visitors.  The HAC also welcomes and seeks to present quality exhibitions designed to educate, stimulate and inspire the youth in our community. Showcase your students or youth groups talents by applying for an exhibit in our Youth Gallery.
