Dear Friend of the Arts,

The Morris Graves Museum of Art is at the heart of the arts on the North Coast, from mounting thought-provoking exhibitions, showcasing live performances, offering inspiring educational opportunities, and presenting programs that spark wonder, the MGMA inspires our community. Looking forward, 2025 will be a banner year for the Humboldt Arts Council and MGMA, because it will be the Museum’s silver anniversary – 25 years! We invite you to join us as we celebrate 25 Years Together by becoming a MGMA 25th Anniversary Sponsor!

As far back as the 1990’s, local citizens dreamed of a regional art museum, and on January 1, 2000, that dream became a reality in the form of the Morris Graves Museum of Art. While the MGMA is a bustling historic landmark today, prior to the year 2000 the building was headed for demolition. The Humboldt Arts Council was able to buy the dilapidated structure for $1.00, and the rest, as they say, is history; a history that was made possible by the tireless efforts of a community united by a singular vision. Today, the MGMA welcomes over 36,000 visitors annually, making it a vital cultural hub and an essential community asset that helps people connect with themselves, others, and the world.

We hope you will join us in making 2025 our biggest and brightest year yet. Just as community support has been at the core of the museum’s success thus far, we would like to invite you to be an important part of our success going forward. Please join us by supporting our vision of a community transformed by art.

Your sponsorship of our 25 Years Together anniversary will allow us to share knowledge, create community connections and preserve the North Coast’s artistic treasures for the next 25 years and beyond.
