We offer youth art classes and camps throughout the year, both after school and during school holiday breaks.
Second Saturday - Family Arts Day
FREE for children 17 and under, FREE for museum members, $5 for adults, $2 for students/seniors/military
On the Second Saturday of every month from 2 to 4pm, come explore the museum, be inspired by current exhibitions, and create hands-on arts projects designed specially for youth and families to make together. Art educators will welcome youth and families to the museum to interpret and appreciate the arts through hands-on learning.
Saturdays and Sundays 10am-5pm (other times may be available upon request), Members: $150 Non Members: $175
Birthday Parties Include:
2-hour Youth Classroom Rental (including set-up/clean-up time)
Museum Tour with scavenger hunt
2 Hands-on Art Projects including all materials and instruction- each child will leave with two completed art projects of their own!!
Projects can be tailored to fit your child's birthday party theme. Renters are responsible for set-up/clean-up of decorations and refreshments.
PBSNC Kids Club
PBSNC Kids Club is a free monthly program that helps children ages 2-8 discover the love of reading and learning. Every month, kids and families listen to story time together, make an art project, watch PBS videos, and take home a free book to keep practicing reading together at home. PBSNC Kids Club takes place every first Saturday of the month from 12:00-2:00pm.

A kid-size toolkit for exploring the museum!
Each gallery kit is an interactive education bundle geared toward youth and families. Focusing on current exhibitions, the life and art of Morris Graves, and the history of Andrew Carnigie and the Carnigie Library, these kits offer educational activities and throught-provoking questions, scavenger hunts, and hands-on-projects to explore while visiting the museum.
These portable, handy kits provide in-depth experiences for a variety of ages and offer many ways to encourage the visitor with art. Gallery kits are included free with admission.

Art created in youth art camps and classes is exhibited for public viewing at the Humboldt County Office of Education, in the main hallway of the main building located at 901 Myrtle Ave, Eureka, CA 95501. Currently on display are artworks created by students who attended Summer Art Camp 2018. Come see the creative and original art works of Humboldt County's youth !
