The Morris Graves Museum of Art is owned and operated by the Humboldt Arts Council, in support of bringing the rich artistic cultural heritage of California's North Coast to the community. The museum features exhibitions from artists, both local and from around the world, as well as a significant permanent collection featuring work by Morris Graves and other internationally recognized artists.

We are always happy to take school classes and private groups for tours of the museum! We can customize your museum experience to include lessons on exhibitions, art projects inspired by the artwork, and integrated lesson plans with the topics currently being studied in your classroom.

Humboldt Artist Gallery
The Humboldt Artist Gallery is a collection of works by local artists from around Humboldt County, located inside the Morris Graves Museum of Art. All works in the gallery are for sale, and range from large scale sculptures and paintings to cards and jewelry.
The Humboldt Artist Gallery is open during regular museum hours, Wednesday through Sunday, noon to 5pm The artists on view are always changing, so check back often!

The first Saturday of every month is all-day free admission
Families with EBT cards can visit for free any day (please bring your EBT card with you!)
Museum members can visit for free every day
Kids under 17 and under can visit for free every day

$5 for adults; $2 for seniors (age 65 and over), military veterans, and students with ID; children 17 and under free; Families with an EBT Card and valid ID receive free admission through the Museums for All initiative, Humboldt Arts Council Members are free. Admission is always free for everyone on the first Saturday of every month, including First Saturday Night Arts Alive!, 6-9 p.m. All HAC/MGMA Programs are free with admission.

Accessibility
The Morris Graves Museum of Art (the “MGMA”) is committed to ensuring that its programs and services are accessible to the broadest range of people with disabilities. Following the guidelines of the American Disabilities Act (ADA), which guarantees equal and full access to employment and public services for people with disabilities, the Museum does not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission or access to, or employment in its services, programs, or activities. The MGMA has an elevator to all levels of the museum.
Wheelchairs
All galleries are wheelchair accessible. We provide a transport chair at no charge. To borrow the transport chair, please ask at the front desk upon arrival or call 707-442-0278 prior to your arrival.
Assistive Animals
Visitors who require assistive animals, such as guide dogs, are welcome to bring them to the museum. Passenger Unload/Load Zone and Parking Guests with limited mobility who are arriving by vehicle can gain access to a passenger unload and load zone via the loading dock, in between the MGMA and the Eureka Theater. Accessible parking is available on F Street in front of the MGMA. across from the Box Office. A valid accessibility parking permit is required.
Restrooms
If visiting the MGMA, accessible restrooms are located on the lower level of the museum.
