William Pierson, in this exhibit, is celebrating over 50 years of being an artist who uses a camera. This presentation chronicles an intense period of creativity in Pierson’s work that began in August 2024 with the creation of Raven Returning from the North Star. In the ensuing two years, over 60 works were created, 22 of which can be seen in this show entitled Transcendence. “With that inaugural piece featuring the Raven, I entered a new phase of my work, where I released myself from all rules, expectations, patterns, and predictable outcomes. Frequently, I would think of an image in the middle of the night by the end of the following day, a new piece of art had entered the world. It has been an exciting time for me as an artist,” Pierson said.

“I hope everyone that comes to see the show will experience my thrill of creation, my transcendence that I have enjoyed over the last two years”.
