“Moderne Art” by Matthew Olivieri and Zaila Rook Barba-Olivieri
This mural, located on the side of the historic Eureka theater, was created by local spray paint artist and teacher Ananda Oliveri and his daughter, Zaila Rook Barba-Oliveri. It depicts a theater stage framed by red velvet curtains and metallic, rail-like motifs inspired by the Eureka Theater’s Streamline Moderne architecture. The design was created as a frame for the learning space used by attendees of the MGMA’s annual Spray Paint Classes.
