Schools to Museum
Schools to Museum events share the history of the historic Carnegie Library, and hosts tours of our three main museum galleries. A docent or art educator leads a FREE 30-60 minute guided tours of the Museum. For a subsidized cost we offer hands on art extensions in our Youth Art Studio after tours based on current exhibitions for your classroom! All supplies provided. Self-guided tours are offered to school groups wishing to visit the museum outside our standard field trip hours.
Museum to Schools
Museum to Schools brings artwork from the museum’s collected right to your classroom to developed and create connections between works of art and your curriculum. A trained docent leads a FREE 40–55 minute art presentation for your classroom in person (video conferencing can be arranged). The presentations align with the Common Core Standards using Artful Thinking routines to engage your students. We offer single visit and multiple visit presentations with Art Extensions for a subsidized cost that can be customize to your curriculum. All supplies provided.
Museum Arts for Elders and Veterans
Musuem Arts for Elders and Veterans offers FREE 30-45 minute guided tours led by art educators or trained docents that explore the Museums three galleries. For an additional subsidized cost post tour activities are available: hands on art activities or memory cafes. Self-guided tours are also offered to groups wishing to visit the museum outside our standard field trip hours and are available during our open hours.
