After retirement I settled in Humboldt County and decided to pursue my long-time interest in art.
I took several classes with local watercolor artists/instructors and discovered the beauty and challenges of watercolor. I've been in Alan Sanborn's art critique group for several years. We meet every other week and under Alan's expert guidance review one another's work. This keeps me motivated to paint every day.
My paintings have been in juried shows where I have received several awards and ribbons including the prestigious "People's Choice" award at the Humboldt County Fair.
As a member of Artists3 my fellow artists and I enjoy exhibiting our watercolors throughout the county. I am also a member of; Humboldt Arts Council, Redwood Art Association, and Fortuna Art Council.
